Welcome to the Sussex Homemove online housing application form. By filling in this form you are applying to join a housing register for social housing. If you are assessed as eligible and qualify you will be able to bid for available homes advertised on the Homemove website.
If you are homeless or need housing advice you must now complete this form instead
You will be asked questions so we can check if you are eligible and qualify to join the housing register. Following receipt of the requested documentation, if you are an eligible person and qualify, we will then assess your priority and you will be given a banding to reflect this.
You do not have to complete the entire form during one session. You can save the form as you go along by selecting 'Finish later'. The screen will time out after 10 minutes so please save regularly.
You must complete your application within 10 days from the date you first started the form. After 10 days your incomplete application will be deleted and you will need to start again.
Before completing the form you will need an email address (there is advice on the form about how to set up an email address), your National Insurance Number (Find a lost National Insurance Number on the .Gov website). You will also need your last 6 years of address history.
You will be asked to attach the following supporting documents to your application:
- Photo ID for your household (e.g. passport or driving licence, birth certificates for younger applicants)
- Proof of address for all household members (e.g. utility bills, bank statements, tenancy agreements, child benefit for under 16s)
- Proof of benefits (Universal Credit, ESA, Child Benefit, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit - either copies of correspondence or proof that it is being received on a bank statement)
- Proof of employment (3x Recent payslips or a letter from your employer confirming your gross annual income and start date)
You will not be made offers of accommodation until you have provided all the required verification documents.
