Central Bedfordshire Council provides Housing Options advice to anyone in its area although it cannot provide housing for everyone who needs it.  The Council’s primary aim is to prevent homelessness, this can include giving good information and advice and by directing you to help and support with benefits and debt advice.

By completing this self-assessment form, we will provide you with Housing Options that will be suitable to assist you in your situation.

In certain cases we may need to arrange a Housing Options appointment for you. Other advice and support may include:
• Directing you to help and support with benefits, debt advice and accommodation providers.
• Our signposting options page, which has additional support

Completing your Online Self- Assessment form

To complete your online assessment form, you will need the following information:

• Your National Insurance Number (and additional house members if relevant)
• Addresses of where you have lived for the last five years
• Care hours currently received (if relevant), and names and addresses of who gives you that support
• Benefits and/or employment income information
• Savings information

On average this form takes 10 minutes to complete; having the information above to hand, will help you through the process.

There is no need to supply supporting documentation at this time.
